The effect of subconscious indoctrination of young boys on women

Remember Andrew Tate? You might still get the occasional video on your Tiktok page from him or fellow podcast bros. As a being with good mental capacity, you’re able to recognise the damage that this content causes to others around you. A simple video: yes, it’s just that to you. But to young children, these videos are the one and ultimate truth about life. Their impressionable minds don’t have the capacity to understand the extent of the message in them. When their idol is a certified human trafficker, no wonder these boys are on the path to a misogynistic future.

And misogyny isn’t simply the textbook example of hating women. Misogyny is not including girls in your play group. Misogyny is only being able to see girls as potential partners and essentially objects, not friends. Misogyny means dehumanising someone based solely on their gender. Does that sound familiar? It might sound like an outrageous comparison, but misogyny is wildly like racism. When people let “boys be boys” by excluding and humiliating their female counterparts, they display the same behaviour as someone enabling racism.

Although the older generation are well known for their outdated views on people of other races, even they have a healthier opinion on feminism. This is largely because young men are subconsciously brainwashed through social media. The young men part of the same generation allegedly supposed to end social injustice. Well, at least 5 of 6. 1 in 6 boys, as shown by a Yougov survey, have a favourable opinion of Tate. This is no wonder, considering the echo chamber they’re thrust into by the algorithms.

If you watch any of these misogynistic videos, even out of curiosity or because they just pop up on your page, you’ll be bombarded with similar content. A time-wasting initiative from these platforms creates the next generation of misogynists, whether by choice or not.
